Springsteen attends the sixth Annual Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Awards, with The Impressions (Curtis Mayfield), Wilson Pickett, The Byrds and Ike & Tina Turner the evening's key inductees. Bruce does not give any induction speech but takes the stage alongside Jackson Browne, Don Henley, and Chaka Khan to perform "People Get Ready" and then participates in the closing jam, trading lead vocals with Khan, Bonnie Raitt, and John Fogerty on "Mustang Sally" and with Fogerty, Khan, and Phoebe Snow on "In The Midnight Hour". Other artists participating in the include The Byrds, LaVern Baker, John Lee Hooker, Patty Smyth, Bobby Brown, John Popper, Robert Cray, and The World's Most Dangerous Band.

Bruce joins Max Weinberg, Tim McLoone, and others onstage at a benefit (organized by Maryanne Murphy, Big Danny Gallagher, Peter Hartung, and Eileen Chapman) for singer Jim Faulkner, who recently had suffered a stroke that affected his vocal cords. First known Springsteen performance of "Tobacco Road".

1991-05-00 - HUH SOUND THEATER, LOS ANGELES, CA

TAKE A LOOK AT MY HEART

Springsteen joins John Prine and provides harmony vocals on "Take A Look At My Heart", which was released in August 1991 on the album The Missing Years. Prine won the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Folk Album. They bumped into each other at an Italian restaurant the day Prine arrived to record, and Springsteen told him, "When you guys get into the record and have something to play, please invite me over. I'd just love to play guitar or harmonica or sing or whatever." Most of the album was recorded at Howie Epstein's guest bedroom in Los Angeles, dubbed "Huh Sound Theater."

Wedding and reception party for Bruce and Patti Scialfa – held at home. Attended by close friends and family. Bruce and others performed at the party. Bruce describes in his autobiography Born To Run: "The band brought their acoustic instruments—Soozie her fiddle, Danny his accordion, a few guitars, and we learned a piece of music I'd written specifically for this day."

Springsteen joins Southside Johnny (and producer Steven Van Zandt) in the studio and provides keyboards and backing vocals to "All The Way Home", Bruce's donated composition to the album. Bruce also provided harmony vocals on the "It's Been A Long Time".
