2025-01-09 - MEADOWLANDS ARENA, EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ

Bruce once again visits the set of his biopic Deliver Me From Nowhere, this time with Jon Landau and Brian J. Monaco. Most likely the filming of the 1981 tour performance took more than just one day, with Bruce visiting more than once.

Bruce visits the set of his biopic Deliver Me From Nowhere in the town where he grew up. He meets actor Jeremy Allen White and Matthew Anthony Pellicano. After the visit, Bruce and some people from the film crew went to Federici's.

Bruce makes a surprise appearance at the twenty-fifth anniversary edition of the Light Of Day Benefit, playing a song each with Jesse Malin and Willie Nile and a full set backed by Joe Grushecky & The Houserockers, plus Jeff Kazee on keys. Grushecky's guitar solo replaces the saxophone during "The Promised Land". Most of the evening's performers and the event's organizers are onstage for the finale, "Light Of Day" and the sing-along "Thunder Road".

Bruce Springsteen is joined at his home by a BBC production team to film segments for a new documentary titled When Bruce Springsteen Came To Britain to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Springsteen's first concert in the UK. The documentary will air on BBC TV in May.

Bruce Springsteen participates in 'People Have The Power: A Celebration of Patti Smith', a benefit presented by Michael Dorf in support of music education for underserved youth. He performs "Because The Night" backed by the house band and then plays guitar and sings backup during the Patti Smith-led all-star finale, "People Have The Power". Participating artists include Paul Banks (Interpol), Courtney Barnett, Matt Berninger (The National), Body/Head (Kim Gordon & Bill Nace), Johnny Depp, Glen Hansard, Ben Harper, Susanna Hoffs, Music Will Academy Of Lower Manhattan Public Middle School, Karen O, Kronos Quartet, Jesse Malin, Alison Mosshart (The Kills), Angel Olsen, Maggie Rogers, Michael Shannon, Michael Stipe, and Sharon Van Etten, with readings by Jim Jarmusch, Scarlett Johansson, and Sean Penn.

Bruce Springsteen appears at the third annual American Music Honors, a presentation of the Bruce Springsteen Archives & Center For American Music at Monmouth University. The 2025 inductees are Smokey Robinson (inducted by Steven Van Zandt), Emmylou Harris (inducted by Patti Scialfa), Tom Morello (inducted by Nils Lofgren), John Fogerty, and, in absentia, Joe Ely (the last two inducted by Springsteen himself). Brian Williams serves as the evening's host and The Disciples Of Soul act as house band; Jackson Browne and Darlene Love also make surprise appearances.
