Bruce makes a surprise appearance at the twenty-sixth annual Light Of Day Benefit. After a one-song appearance with Willie Nile, he plays a full set backed by Joe Grushecky & The Houserockers, beginning with two songs also featuring Gary U.S. Bonds. Bruce dedicates "The Promised Land" to Renee Good, speaking briefly before the song about ongoing events: "ICE should get the fuck out of Minneapolis." The show closes with an all-hands-on-deck "Light Of Day" (including the "Land Of 1000 Dances" interlude), followed by Bruce leading everyone in singing "Happy Birthday" to Bob Benjamin and the traditional closing "Thunder Road" singalong.

Inspired by the protests in Minneapolis, MN against ICE, Springsteen wrote "Streets Of Minneapolis" on January 24 and recorded it at this session. The song was released as a digital single the very next day.

Bruce takes part in 'A Concert of Solidarity & Resistance to Defend Minnesota!', organized by Tom Morello. He performs an acoustic rendition of "Streets Of Minneapolis" in its live premiere, followed by a version with Morello and his band of "The Ghost Of Tom Joad". The set closes with "Power To The People" featuring all the day's performers, Bruce's first ever performance of the song.

2026-02-01 - CRYPTO.COM ARENA, LOS ANGELES, CA

Bruce Springsteen wasn't at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony in person, but he was there in voice, via a pre-recorded tribute to the late Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys during the 'In Memoriam' segment. A collage of images was shown, including a picture (see our Gallery tab) of Bruce and Brian together taken backstage of the Count Basie Center in Red Bank, NJ. The Tracks II: The Lost Albums box set won the Grammy Award for Best Recording Package; art directors Meghan Foley and Michelle Holme accepted the award.

A fifth and final day of private rehearsals for the upcoming tour, as right after the band left the building, all the equipment was loaded out into the trucks. They worked on different parts of the songs listed especially the transitions of the end of one song into the start of the next one. The band introductions were rehearsed, in the standard 2023–25 International Tour style.

Springsteen, introduced by Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, performs a solo acoustic "Streets Of Minneapolis" at the No Kings Rally at the Minnesota State Capitol. Speakers at the event include U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders, Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, Jane Fonda, Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan, and Attorney General Keith Ellison; the event's other musical performers are Tom Morello, Joan Baez with Brass Solidarity and Singing Resistance, Maggie Rogers, Dorene Day Waubanewquay, Larry Long, Venus DeMars, Secret Rivers, Kashimana and Thomasina Petras, and Borealis (Twin Cities Gay Men's Chorus).

27-song set to open the 2026 Land Of Hope And Dreams - No Kings Tour opens with the first performance of "War" since 2003 into "Born In The U.S.A." (complete with a brief guitar duel with Tom Morello in the outro). "Streets Of Minneapolis" has its first performance with the E Street Band, and local special "Purple Rain" appears in the encores, with fiery guitar work from Morello and Nils Lofgren. Most of the rest of the set takes the same basic shape as the 2025 shows, including the acoustic "House Of A Thousand Guitars" and the speech before "My City Of Ruins". "Long Walk Home" includes the "Land Of Hope And Dreams" guitar intro. Tom Morello appears on several songs throughout the show, as he will throughout the tour.
