| John Ward | What I remember is that Bruce and the band went on about 8:20, 50 minutes after the scheduled start (which is the norm these days), and we walked out of the Civic Arena around 12:30, a cold December night in Pittsburgh, our parkas unzipped and sweating like pigs. It was my first Bruce show and it was amazing. "Mystery Train" was channeled into the encore near the end, all the lights were up, and Bruce started counting down cities… Pittsburgh… all aboard.. and the crowd chanted, "Whooo whooo!!" And I believe Steve wore a giant foam hat for "Cadillac Ranch!" |
