Craig O'Bryan | Good Gawd! I saw my first show in August '78 (Louisville KY) and 30 years down the road if Bruce didn't show up in Nashville and just burned the joint down! Lots of grey beards and beer guts, but hey, us boomers hung tough and stayed on our feet for 3+ hours. Incredibly fun show! |
Chris | I was a little distraught when they drew wristband #236 to start the lottery (we were #41 and 42) and even more distraught when we were among the first people NOT to make the pit (my big pink "You Can"t Walk Away From The Price You Pay, Bruce!" sign seemed all for naught) but that all went away about 2 seconds into "Out In The Street". What a show! This was my 4th show and by far the best. Never thought I'd get to see "I'm Goin' Down" or "Loose Ends", the Johnny Cash and Joe Strummer tributes were really touching, and then to hear them do "Good Rockin' Tonight"? As a good Elvis-loving Memphian, I could not have asked for more! |
John Hill | All around amazing concert. Started out the evening meeting Little Steven with my wife, talked about his radio program and it being played to troops overseas for free. The Concert started around 8:45 and went till 11:20. Most of the concert was Bruce doing requests via his sign grab (growin up plus story about his guitar). Played only a few songs from Magic (radio nowhere, girls, long walk home). He ended the concert with thunder road, born to run, I fought the law, American land and then came back with an dancing in the dark encore where he pulled out and elderly lady from the crowd, danced fore a minute or so and then carried her off the stage. This was my fourth concert and by far the best. |
