Funny moment after Bruce played "Hungry Heart" at Sunday's show in Los Angeles. During the song, he saw a small sign for "Sherry Darling." He asked the woman for the sign but as she moved up to give it to him, she dropped the sign in the gap between the railing and the stage extension. When "Hungry Heart" ended Bruce, as my friend said, "went vertical" and started leaning way down to try to get the sign. He gave my friend Barbara his microphone to hold. Nobody, except those right there, had any idea what he was doing. Nils ran down to hold onto Bruce's foot and security guard Tony almost ran up to help. Bruce finally got the sign and then held it up for all to see. That's something I've never seen at a Bruce show, and the tech did get the microphone back from Barbara.
