Bruce's first ever performance in Georgia. One show, triple billing, with Bruce and the boys opening for The Beach Boys. This was a benefit concert to raise money to fight muscular dystrophy. The poster (see our News/Memorabilia tab) has Springstin (misspelled) billed third but, given the documented artist fee payments for this show, it is almost certain that Mother's Finest opened the show and Springsteen followed. Springsteen's set is likely to have been about 60 minutes. This concert took place at a time when The Beach Boys were at a very low ebb in popularity in America and this show proved a financial disaster for the promoter, as less than 3,000 tickets were sold. The Omni Coliseum held 16,000. According to journalist Peter Howard this gig did not take place, with Bruce being pulled from the bill (see our Media tab); Brucebase has not yet been able to confirm one way or the other.
