Info & Setlist | Venue

Opening night of a three-night, three-show residency at this newly-opened (1974) club owned by legendary Atlanta promoter Alex Cooley. The show was originally scheduled for March 13, 1975 but was moved, presumably due to recording sessions. Apparently after the opening night's show Bruce approached Cooley and, as Alex has mentioned in an interview, "he asked me if we could shut down the cash registers because they were making too much noise. That's the only time I ever did that." The very incomplete four-song setlist listed is courtesy of a review in The Great Speckled Bird, a counterculture underground newspaper based in Atlanta from 1968 to 1976. The reviewer attended two of the three shows at the Ballroom, the final night and one other - he does not state whether the four songs listed are from August 21 or August 22.
