The listed, presumably complete setlist is culled from the audience recording (which contains the full set, save for "Quarter To Three", information from a May 20, 1976 report in Rolling Stone, and a brief review in Duke University's student newspaper. This is one of only a few shows in which all eight songs from the Born To Run album are performed. First confirmed on-tour Springsteen performance of "Raise Your Hand," and the recording supports that claim as Springsteen calls out chord changes to the band. "Rosalita (Come Out Tonight)" includes a snippet of "Theme From Shaft" in the midsection. Some sources suggest that "Kitty's Back" was played, but there is no evidence of it on the audience recording. First confirmed time on the Chickenscratch Tour that "Growin' Up" and "It's Hard To Be A Saint In The City" are dropped from the set.

“I used to live in this small town, was about 8,000 people, 10,000 people and, uh…I used to live in this two-family-house on this main, on this main highway…and, uh…at night my father used to lock up the front door so we used to have to come in, come in ‘round the back door and he’d shut out all the lights in the house and my mom’d be in the front room, she’d watch TV with just the TV on…my father’d be sitting there in the kitchen just, uh…smoking a cigarette and drinking that beer (?)…so if you came in around, if you came in around eleven o’clock, it wasn’t too bad, if you came in around, if you came in around midnight, it was alright…if you came in around like two or three after he’d been sitting there all night… he’d always, he’d always stop me…want me to sit down…and talk with him a while about something…so you’d be sitting there for a while…he’d start talking about what I was doing in school and stuff and…then he’d start asking me who I was out with, where I was, where I was and where I was…he’d start scream at me, asking me what I planned to do with myself or something…and I’d start screaming back at him and my mother’d come in and she’d (?)…I just had to tell him and tell him that it was my life (?)…”

Ed Beddingfield	Detroit Medley was played at this show……… My first of 57 shows.
Scott Diffee	The show lasted about 3.5 hours .. long, and great. This was a very high energy show that I will certainly never forget. Bruce and the band were in excellent form and looked they were having more fun than the audience .. and the audience was ecstatic. This was one of the few shows where the entire Born To Run album was performed. This was my first time seeing Bruce and still ranks as one of the best shows I have ever seen by anyone and I've seen many many shows. The power of Bruce and this band during that time was huge. The energy was unmatched, the crowd was in a constant buzz and was into every note and every run across the stage, jumps from the piano, etc… An unforgettable night for all those in attendance for sure .. WOW
'Unknown'	I recollect "It's My Life" and that I distinctly remember looking down the row of people and seeing that every single one of them had their mouths open (as did I) in stunned silence, mesmerized by the story and the music. It was thrilling.
