A CBS Annual Sales Convention promoted as 'The Family Of Music-1976' and featuring four artists from the corporate roster, each performing thirty to forty minute sets – Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes (who opened), Starcastle, Dave Mason, and headliner The Jacksons (featuring Michael Jackson). Springsteen accompanied Miami Steve Van Zandt and the Asbury Jukes on their trip, making a guest appearance with Southside Johnny on guitar for "The Fever", and on duet vocals for "I Don't Want To Go Home". Needless to say, Bruce received a nicer reception from the reps at this convention than he had before (see July 27, 1973 listing).
