´´This next song, this is sort of a new song, it´s a song we never recorded….wrote it, uh, in the beginning of last summer….and uh, what it is it´s a song that, uh, in the early 60´s there was this kind of music called Fraternity Rock, was performed by the Premiers who had a record called ´Farmer John´, the Kingsmen and ´Louie Louie´, there was uh….and the biggest hit of Fraternity Rock was a song called ´Double Shot of My Baby´s Love´ by the Swinging Medallions….that had the immortal line: ´It wasn´t wine that I had too much of, it was the double shot of my baby´s love´ (chuckles)….I´ve always kept that close to my heart, it´s like
(chuckles) but this song, this is a song called ´Sherry Darling´, the thing about Fraternity Rock was that on the records, they used to record ´em live in these little clubs, like the, uh, Boom Boom Room or something like that and like on the records the audience was always twice as loud as the band, you see (cheers) you gotta have a lot of party noises (chuckles) more party noises (cheers)….”

´´When I was 13…..I found out…..due to an unfortunate set of circumstances….after spending a long time in the hospital….and being examined by the world´s greatest physicians that I was the teenage werewolf…..(?)….one night….I was down on the boardwalk, I looked up…. there was a full moon….I felt hair growing all over my face….felt my fingers get longer, a guitar popped out of my left side….and for just one moment…..I stood stonelike at midnight …..
(….) As the years went by, (?) worse…..I had the cops on my trail….´cause instead of eating people, I used to run around and steal….records…..first I got all that Elvis Presley on Sun…. then I got all the Roy Orbison on (?)….and everywhere I´d go, I´d leave a trail….and I couldn´t get away, one night I was hustling down the highway (?)….(?)….state troopers….(?) ….and all of a sudden a car screeched to a halt right beside me….and there sitting in the frontseat….(?) Rambler….was this thing that looked like a saxophone….he rolled down his window, looked out at me, said ´I don´t know what you did but with a look like that, I think we can get along, hop inside to the passanger seat´ and we got, by that time, I think, we had the whole United States Army down, running down the New Jersey Turnpike….Clarence had that thing to the floor, we were doing…..goddamn, we must´ve been doing 55 !….and all we heard was this guy with a bullhorn (?) ´Stop´ and then this general leaned his head out the window and said ´Stop that man with the gold guitar !´…..”
