Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes starting their show 3 hours late because their manager and rhythm guitar player Miami Steven Van Zandt played the August 30 gig at the Richfield Coliseum with the E Street Band, then hopped in a car and drove across town to the club, where he was coordinating video and WMMS-FM simulcast. Unknown at the time was that four E Street Band members came with him, including Bruce, but didn't join in until the end of the regular set. Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes finished their regular set with "Stagger Lee", joined by Garry Tallent, bass and Clarence Clemons, percussion. Southside stepped aside to let Bruce take lead vocal, with Clarence Clemons taking the backing vocals and Steven Van Zandt on guitar, for the first encore "The Fever". For the second encore "I Don't Want To Go Home" Bruce played guitar and took co-lead vocals. For the final encore "Having A Party" Steven Van Zandt joined on guitar, and Roy Bittan on piano. The show lasted well into the early hours of August 31.

Soundboard tape and excellent pro-shot film which is readily available on DVD. The 3 encore tracks circulate as filler for 2 1978 Tour DVDs, 'Darkness Tour ’78' ^(Otacon) and 'Classic 78 DVD' ^{(Apocalypse Sound)}. The factory-pressed two-DVD bootleg from August 15, 1978, Landover, Maryland, 'Live On The Darkness On The Edge Of Town Tour' ^(Watchdog) also contains the 3 Agora tracks, with a lossless PCM audio stream, unlike the others. A lossless audio CD also circulates with the 3 tracks, including several minutes of footage between 'Stagger Lee' and 'The Fever".

We were at the Agora on August 31. We had tried desperately to get tickets for Bruce that night at the Coliseum but it got sold out. The Agora gig was actually a Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes gig that started about three hours late because, as Southside stated, they had to wait for their lead guitarist (Miami Steve) to get done with another gig across town. Bruce joined the band in the second set and they rocked into the wee hours of the night, neither the band nor the crowd wanted to leave… it was about 4am when we finally got home (with little, or no voice). Great intimate concert with Bruce and Southside.
