Info & Setlist | Venue

Springsteen's sole performance at this private Franciscan university, played at the 5,500 capacity Reilly Center. The circulating audience tape begins with "Independence Day" so there is some debate as to the identity of the opening songs. The St. Bonaventure 1979 yearbook states that "Badlands" opened, but we have several independent reports that it was, in fact, "Good Rockin' Tonight". We can't be certain, but other setlists around this time suggest that "Streets Of Fire" probably followed "Badlands", and the fourth song is confirmed as "Spirit In The Night", with Bruce out amongst the audience. It's missing from the tape, but in all likelihood "Backstreets" followed "She's The One". Set features a rare performance of "Louie Louie". Final tour performance for "Sherry Darling". "Rosalita (Come Out Tonight)" includes the "Come A Little Bit Closer" introduction. The show was featured in an article in the school newspaper, titled "Kinetic Springsteen Rocks RC". Springsteen earned $20,000 for his night's work, and the university grossed just short of $40,000.
