(cheers) and….me and Steve….we were sitting in this club and it was about 3 a.m. in the morning, we were crying in each other’s faces ´cause we had no money and we made a deal I wouldn’t buy him a present if he wouldn’t buy me one….we had no girlfriends….so we started walking home…..and we’re walking home along the boardwalk….had our guitars with us…..see, you gotta always keep the guitar with you ´cause down in Asbury Park, if you put it down, somebody’d steal it from you in ten seconds….and besides you always have to be ready in case you was gonna get discovered…..anyway….we got home, Steve put the Pop-Tarts in the toaster….I made a peanut butter-and-jelly sandwich…..and we went to sleep….about, about 4.30, we heard some scratching up on the roof…..and we figured…..we figured, we were sure it was some guys trying to steal our guitars….we climbed up out onto the roof….and we looked over, I said ´Steve, look over there by the chimney!….it’s…..it’s…..we couldn’t see who it was´, I said ´Steve, you go that way, I’ll go this way….get him, Steve!….oh shit, Steve, we knocked out Santa Claus!´ (loud cheers) … Some Christmas! … … ´Santa, the big night… you gotta get up, they’re waiting for you over in China Come on, Ho! Ho!
