Bruce adds a short spoken introduction to "Racing In The Street": "I remember that she'd always be calling me 'Bobby, Bobby,' and I'd be running around the house trying to find the keys to the car, because sometimes she’d hide 'em on me when she didn't want me to go out at night. It was hard to make her understand that when I took the car out, and when I won, that it was something that I could do good, it was the only thing that made me feel good about myself. “Now, this song, this is a song about ancient history…it’s a song about nostalgia…nostalgia’s big!…everybody’s always thinking about way back when…when I start thinking about that stuff, I start thinking back to my teenage years, Big Man…I remember when I was like in high school…I used to…I used to have like this pool table in my bedroom…I did, I got it at Sears, cost 69 dollars 95 cents… and it just fit in my bedroom…it was around the same time that I was studying the guitar…so I would get like, my girlfriends would come over my house but my bedroom was right over the kitchen and my father would sit down in the kitchen and he could hear what was going on upstairs (crowd cheers) so…if he didn’t hear the guitar and if he didn’t hear the pool balls knocking together, he used to have a broom that he’d start slamming on the ceiling (chuckles)(crowd cheers) so he had to hear the guitar or the pool balls (chuckles) so I pulled the pool table over real close to the bed (chuckles) (crowd cheers) so I could kind of reach up and throw ‘em around once in a while (crowd cheers) when I was in high school I was only interested in two things…one was the guitar…and the other one was not pool (crowd cheers) now the guitar was the one that I became proficient at over the years…the other one…I’m still looking for some dedicated volunteers who wanna practice, practice, practice!
