Wedding reception for Bruce and Julianne, delayed until the day after the church wedding in an attempt to outfox the media. Steven Van Zandt and Clarence Clemons (who were Bruce's best men) definitely attended but it is still unclear how many other E Street Band members were present. The newlyweds showed up at Oswego Lake Country Club at 7:45 p.m., according to Marlene Najdek, a secretary at the club. A string quartet was hired to play but Bruce (and others) did get up and sing a song or two. Police Chief Thomas Webster and the Lake Oswego Police Department were hired to provide security for the occasion, and kept party-crashers and lost golfers away from the festivities. Following the reception the honeymooners spent a week or so at Lake Como in Italy, staying in a villa owned by designer Gianni Versace.
