Intro to "Atlantic City"
´´This is a song about….the gang wars of Southern New Jersey….it´s called ´Atlantic City´….´´
Intro to "The River"
´´When I was young….I´m old now, see (chuckles) when I was young, my father would wait for me to come home at night….he would lock the frontdoor so I´d have to walk past him in the kitchen…..and, uh, some nights if you came home too late, you were better off waiting until the next morning….so I used keep a sleeping bag….on the outside of these woods and, uh, some nights I´d sleep on a friend of mine´s porch or in somebody´s car….and now when I go home, those places seem more like….my home to me sometimes than my house did….but, uh, this is a song, this is ´cause everyone needs someplace to go on those nights when they can´t go home…..´´
Intro to "Glory Days"
´´(after the singalong) That´s good….now….that´s good singing….alright (chuckles) this is a song about getting old….how the hell do you say that in French?….that´s getting old (chuckles) like I´m getting old now, man….35 - wo! that´s old, man (chuckles) now, the Big Man….he´s older than me….but somehow, somehow he maintains his youthful beauty….I don´t know how he does it, man, I don´t know how he does it….don´t be throwing no toilet paper now (chuckles) are you ready, boys?….´´
Intro to "My Hometown"
´´Merci….I´d like to do this song….de ma ville natale a votre ville natale….from my hometown to your hometown….´´
Intro to "I´m On Fire"
´´I remember….it seemed like the only time my Dad´d wanna talk to me was when he was…. sitting in the kitchen at night after he´d been drinking too much….and it seemed like he was always angry….over….over, over something I could never understand….he´d sit around all night, thinking about everything he wasn´t ever gonna have….until he´d get you thinking like that too and I can remember laying up in my bed, staring at the ceiling….feeling like I was just gonna….like I was just gonna….like if something didn´t happen….if something didn´t happen….I was just gonna….someday I was just gonna….´´

Intro to "Can´t Help Falling In Love With You"
´´Thank you, I would like….to take a moment and thank everyone for coming down to the show tonight here in Montpellier, thank you very much….I know that many of you traveled a long distance, some from Spain, I´d like to say thank you very much….thank you….thank you very much….and I´d also like to thank everyone for supporting our band over the past ten years when we haven´t gotten over here as much as we´d like to, thank you very much….. this was a song that, uh, in 1975 we were on the ´Born to Run´-tour in the United States…. and we were in Memphis and it was late at night and I got a taxi cab to take me to Elvis Presley´s house….and, uh, I stood outside the gates and I looked up at the house and there was a light on and then I jumped over the wall and I ran up towards the frontdoor….and the guards came out and asked me what I wanted and, and I said ´Is Elvis home?´ and they said ´No, no, he´s in Lake Tahoe,´ so I told ´em that I was a guitar player too and I had a band and, uh, I told ´em that we were in town playing and then they took me and put me back out on the street (chuckles) but, uh, it wasn´t long after that a friend of mine called and, and told me that Elvis, that Elvis had died and it was hard to understand how someone whose music had taken away so much loneliness and given people such, so much of a feeling for life…. could have died so tragically….anyway, I´d like to do this for you and here´s wishing you all the longest life with the best of everything….´´
