Intro to "All That Heaven Will Allow"
´´Hey man….how you been doing ?….ain´t seen you in a little while….about, last time I seen you was…your anniversary…yeah….man, what you been up to ?….oh-oh, here come the baby pictures….(chuckles) that´s a good one….we´ve got a little Big Man out there now….he´s three years old, right ? three ?….he´s almost as big as me already….he´s got a little saxophone, he looks good….I can remember we used to sit on this bench in 1975….and we used to watch the girls go by at lunchtime, right about now, they´d come by out of that big office building on the corner….check the, the one in the red dress, red, red skirt, here she comes….(chuckles)….man, I, I remember I was with you, I was with you the night you met your wife….we were overseas and she came into the room, Clarence came running back to my room that night and he said ´Man, I met the girl I´m gonna marry´….but he used to say that after every girl that he used to meet….he used to mean it, it wasn´t…..but he really meant it that time (chuckles)…you know, that´s nice, it was nice….remember how it was like when ….the first time that that person comes walking in the room and you´re checking ´em out and you´re waiting to see if they´re like looking at you….hey, Ritchie, sing about it, man….feels kind of like this, you know….straight out of New Jersey, right ? (cheers)….that was it, man ….well, I gotta get home, buddy, dinnertime now….I´ll check you later, alright…..I´m in bed at like 11 o´clock now, you wouldn´t believe it….”
Intro to "Spare Parts"
´´This is uh….this next song, I guess….it´s a song about how hard it is to give up the past sometimes….seems like, uh….I´ve been working a lot of my life to learn how to…. leave some things behind that are hard to leave behind….I think you feel if you´ve given up…some of the past, you´re growing, you´re growing up….you´re growing older ….and that´s always scary…maybe not for some of you guys back there….it´s scary for everybody…and uh…. when I wrote this song, I was trying to write about a woman who was….struggling to understand….what her own individual existence was worth….. people forget about that a lot….to try to understand what the life of her child was worth…and how…you have to drop things behind that are holding you down…. understand the value of your own life which always sort of slips in and out for most people….and, and just go on…into the darkness, out into the next day….so, uh….good luck….”
Intro to "You Can Look"
´´Well, I get down to Chapel Hill….all the way from Boston, via New Jersey….and I thought I´d shop around a little bit….you know, bring some things back to my house….mementos…. souvenirs….keepsakes….religious memorabilia….”
Intro to "I´m a Coward"
´´Are there any brave men out there tonight ? (cheers)….are there any brave men out in the audience tonight ? (cheers)….are there any macho men ? (cheers)…..because I’ve seen men ….that would climb mountains….that would swim rivers….that would get down on their knees and wrestle with a grizzly bear….but there´s one thing that they was afraid of….just one thing that scared them to death….just one thing that frightened the hell out of them and I’m gonna tell you what that one thing was….what I´m talking about is L….U…V….love, do you hear me ?…..love scared ´em….scared ´em to death…now, women….I’m talking to you too….girls, I’m talking to you too….I’ve known women that would get into a canoe and go down the Amazon River….that would fight off alligators, crocodiles, they wasn´t scared, they´d jump out of an airplane at 30,000 feet….I know women that would even date the horn section in this band…..but there was one thing that they was afraid of….and that one thing was love, love, love….now I’m down here tonight because I´ve got a confession to make, I´ve got something I´ve got to get off my shoulders, I´ve got to lay my burden down and what I wanna say is I have sinned !….that´s right….and I don´t need no Pat Robertson to forgive me….he can kiss my ass….I don’t care who you bring down here, baby, you can bring down Hulk Hogan, you can bring down the Road Warriors, you can bring down George the Animal Steele, you can bring down Andre the Giant, I´ll take ´em on, I´m not afraid….but there´s one thing I´m afraid of….and there´s one thing I´ve got to say….I ain´t scared of those kinds of things….but….I’m a Coward when it comes to love….save me, boys !…”
Intro to "Part Man Part Monkey"
´´I was reading the….newspapers the other day and….came across this story….I couldn´t believe it…it was something like this….”
Intro to "Born to Run"
´´Oh, thanks, thanks a lot….this is a, this is a song that, uh…..whenever I see people on the street, they always ask me the same question that….they wanna know what my favorite song is that I wrote….usually I say ´Oh, oh, I don´t really have one´ or some sort of baloney like that but I guess this next song, this is, this is my favorite song….and I wrote it when I was 24 years old, I was sitting on, I was sitting on the end of my bed in this little house in Long Branch, New Jersey (cheers)(chuckles) you must´ve never been there, that´s right (chuckles) wouldn´t have got such a big cheer (chuckles)…..and uh, uh, I guess as I get older, it´s the one song that…..I don´t get tired of singing it, it seems to open up and let the years in real gracefully and when I sing it, I feel kind of young and…..and kind of old at the same time so ….and it always surprises me how much I knew about myself and about, about my life back then….and uh….it´s a song about a guy and a girl searching for something better….so, anyway, I´d like to dedicate this to all of you because it´s your song too….”
Intro to "Love Me Tender"
´´I wanna say thanks for coming down to the show tonight….this is the start of our…of our tour….so I wanna do this for you guys and….for the ones you love….”

Middle of "Light of Day"
