Intro to "My Hometown"
´´How are you tonight ? (cheers)….that´s good…..as a child…..when I was young, rock and roll gave me a sense of so many things….gave me a sense of, uh….in those early rock and roll records I heard a sense of life, a sense of fun and good times….a sense of sex….a sense of human possibility….but most of all, I heard a sense of freedom…..I think that the best….the best music, the best rock and roll music has always presented a tremendous sense of freedom…..I think that….as you get older, one of the challenges of adulthood is how to hold on to your idealism after you´ve lost your innocence…..how you hold on to that sense of freedom….when you begin to understand life´s limits….with Amnesty International, you can hold on to your idealism and you can put your ideals in service in a world in which they are so badly needed…..you can the world a little less oppressive and a little less hateful…..and you can let that voice of freedom….ring stronger….around the world….from my hometown all the way to your hometown…..”

Before Bruce & the band took the stage, Sting was performing with his band. Sting's last song was "Every Breath you Take" and as he was finishing the 1st verse, Bruce came out and performed a duet with him. Then during Bruce's set, Sting returned the favor on The River.
