Intro to "Open All Night"
”Alright, weeelll, let me do that….wrote this song, uh…..ten years ago (cheers) ….might be one of the shitty ones, how do you know ? (chuckles)(cheers)…..in homage to the kings’highway, that great royal road….the New Jersey Turnpike (cheers)….I used to ride down from New York City (cheers)….I’d get on the phone, call my girl….(?) early in the morning, she’d have a peanutbutter and jelly sandwich waiting for me…..I’d be promising her all sorts of sexual favors when I got home (cheers)…..I said promises, promises….got home, I ate the peanutbutter and jelly sandwich ….
(….) So anyway….ten years late I come home…..few weeks ago I get in my car….I start to drive north….gonna relive some of those youthful memories (cheers)….but, but I’m about stop in at Howard Johnson’s …and it’s gone, been replaced….by Bob’s Big Boy and Roy Rogers’ (cheers)….I feel like my youth has been trashed…..I long and hunger…..for those ugly pee-green…..no, it was blue….pee-blue and orange cups….and shitty orange rugs (cheers)….and those waitresses that would look at you with pure hatred….but I walk in…..and it’s the same waitress (laughter)….and I say ‘Honey….do you remember me ?’…..she says ‘I sure do, daddy…..and you can come on in….’cause we’re open….all night….
(….)(somebody has thrown a beachball on stage) ”Does this look like the fucking beach ?….”
Intro to "Sandy"

Intro to "57 Channels"
”1992, you see American cities…..burning again….people left behind for dead….. without the opportunity to…..feel (?) respect and to tast the….have a job, send your kids to school…..keep your family safe…..you’ll be reaping what you sow….”
Intro to "My Hometown"
”Alright, thank you….I’d like to do this for all the moms and pops in the audience tonight…..and uh….this is uh…..(?)….when I put all my characters in….in the cars when I first started writing…..I was always trying to find that…..(?) that place they were looking for….some place called home…..home….that’s just what’s born into you, like… it’s one of the first words that my….my little boy who’s talking now, one of his first words was ‘home’…..home…..and uh….I guess I wrote this song about….home and uh….I think in the end…..it’s sort of some place that comes up from inside you and then you build around your….friends and your family or what you been (?)….to the….. place where you live…..so…..I wanna do this for you here tonight…..for all parents out there (?) that you……be strong….”

Middle of "Glory Days"
”This is uh…..this is the part of the show where I kinda…..let the audience know how the records are doing, you know….I last seen, they were down like about 100 on the charts, you know…..which is kind of embarrassing because, uh….you know, I shout my mouth off on a radio broadcast, you know, they’re gonna go up….Number 1 and all that stuff….so we’re kinda sitting down here (?)…..uh, Weird Al Yankovich , my main competition right now…..he’s up around 57….how is that possible ?…..I don’t know…. will somebody tell me ? But it doesn’t bother me, you know…..I mean I’m not like losing any, like sleep over it or anything like that, you know, because uh…..because uh….first of all…..we’re here for bigger things (cheers)…..we’re here for uh, uh….. grander reasons (cheers)….than just getting records to the top of the charts….and just chasing those big bucks all across the United States…..and uh…..can anybody think of one ? (chuckles)…..ummm…..Let’s rock !…..’
Middle of "Hungry Heart"
(a little boy takes a seat on the edge of the stage with Bruce before the ‘I met her at the Kingstown bar’ verse and Bruce leans over and says:)
