Bruce and Patti attends the 60th birthday party of Jann Wenner (founder of Rolling Stone magazine) at Le Bernardin restaurant on West 51st Street in New York City. In lieu of a toast Bruce performs one song ("Jann's Song") which he wrote for the occasion. See the full, comical lyrics, as printed in Wenner's book Like A Rolling Stone, on the song page. Intro to Jann's Song"
…I can't begin to tell you how shocking it was to find something that seemed to be speaking directly to me. For us young musicians in the outlands, it was the only thing we had that gave us information and inspiration about what we aspired to and what we hoped to be. And the community we wanted to be a part of. So, in honor of Jann, I have written a song, it's kind of a little bluesy thing. It goes:
