Andrew Kenward | WOW!!! My first ever Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band concert at the age of 16, (I saw him with the Seeger Sessions but this was much better). An absolutely amazing concert, high energy from start to finish. 10th Avenue to start off with then a blistering "I just want to hear some rhythm" on Radio Nowhere. I loved Point Blank and Caddy Ranch. Badlands was just spectacular and I am so glad he played Atlantic City. Then came the encores. what can I say about them, one word, to die for. It was like he was running through his greatest hits album, Thunder Road, Born To Run, Glory Days, Rosallita, Dancing in the Dark and American Land. Disappointed that he didn't play Ramrod but you can't have it all. Such a long setlist but I wouldn't have it any other way, absolutely legendary concert. My friend bought tickets to see him again but my brother doesn't want to go so we do not have a lift to wales so we had to sell the tickets. Want to see him again so badly but what can I do? Bruce, Stevie, Suzzy and the Big Man all looked at me, it was so great. Thanks for a great day Bruce I'll never forget it. |
Gary | This show was simply the most amazing I have ever seen. The crowd were awesome and Bruce loved it !!! Never seen him so close to the crowd, shaking hands ,letting people touch his guitar and taking lots of requests. Awesome !!! I think he even came back to the side stage after the show !!! You had to be there. Set list outstanding !!!!! |
Kickstart | Great concert, although the sound was not great on the bigger, louder numbers. Great set list, my only disappointment was not hearing Darkness, but Bruce more than made up for this with Thunder Road. The whole crowd sang the first verse (and the rest of the song as well). Big mixture of people in the crowd, all ages, although you can see the long term fans getting older now. Earls Court was a better venue a few years ago, it's difficult to get the atmosphere going in a stadium, but they did a great job. Why does half the crowd have to go and buy food and beer, and then go and take a leak. I watched the entire gig, I can't see the point in missing a song just to buy a hot dog! Also - thanks so much to the girl behind us who talked through the whole of "Point Blank" - I just wish I had laser beams for eyes when I glared at her! |
Mark | What can I say , simply fantastic , Bruce and the band were awesome , the setlist was as good as you could have asked for , it was great to hear Point Blank , but stand out moments were Reason To Believe , Badlands , and Glory Days. Still on a high now , two days later. BRILLIANT!!!!!! |
Mark Lancaster | Got a ticket off badlands people for this show, so thanks for that, point blank and reason were stand out, freeze out was a great opener. |
Mick Mutlow | Wow, what a gig. An awesome start with 10th Avenue - what a choice. Highlights for me were Waiting On A Sunny Day, Reason To Believe, Because The Night and Rosalita (a song I normally do not like). Point Blank was a nice surprise but sorry, it is not a stadium song. I have never seen the great man interact with the crowd so much…….loved the requests bit. |
Neil | Thought Bruce & the band worked their collective arses off. The whole set was fabulous. Stand out was BTR, Tenth Avenue & Badlands. The venue though lacked atmosphere and had some very large gaps. Not sure if this due to poor ticket sales, would have thought not, or health & safety. Stewarding piss poor and towards the end of the show opened gates onto the pitch and after letting several people thru they were closed much to peoples annoyance. I know the band have to play the stadiums lets just hope they give this place a miss in future. |
Raymond | The amount of talking going on during Point Blank was terrible. Probably all the people who were there for Dancing in the Dark and were unhappy he did not do Hungry Heart. This was my favorite Bruce show since Wembley Stadium on the Tunnel of Love Express Tour back in '88. |
Tony | I think I have just, yet a gain, seen the heart beat of Rock & Roll. What a show, it has to be the best of all Bruce's concerts that I have ever seen, with an unbelievable start with Tenth to an amazing Because the Night and to see Point Blank again was just a moment that will live with me forever. Bruce I know you may play the guitar till your fingers bled, but I clapped till I could no longer feel them and sung till I lost my voice. Still waking up in the night with the show playing over in my head…… You are no longer the future of Rock & Roll you are Rock and Roll!!!! |
