“Thank you, L.A (crowd cheers) thank you for two great nights here in…the fabulous Sports Arena (crowd cheers) the joint that don’t disappoint, the dump that jumps, that’s right…oh yeah, that was Jay Weinberg, that’s Max’s son, uh (crowd cheers) Max has got a few shows he’s gonna miss on this tour so Jay’s gonna sit in with the E Street Band when that happens…yes…a chip off the block…oh my Lord, alright…we have some friends in the house tonight, folks from the Los Angeles Regional Foodbank…they’ve been serving the hungry here in Los Angeles County since 1973, their programs get food to those who need ‘em the most, ensuring that children, seniors and working families have access to nutritious food, the Los Angeles Regional Foodbank (crowd cheers) I don’t have to tell you what’s, what’s happening out there, if you pick up the newspapers, you see millions of jobs lost since 2007, you see hundreds of thousand jobs lost just over the past several months and, uh, there are many, many people who are…who these organizations, these grassroots organizations is their only safety net, kids going to bed with some food in their stomach or going to bed hungry, these folks are out on the frontlines doing God’s work at a time of great national turmoil and trouble (crowd cheers) please, if you can, support the Los Angeles Regional Foodbank, this is a song by Stephen Foster, written in 1855, “Hard Times Come Again No More”…”
