Bruce returns to Broadway after a month break. Due to new Covid precautionary measures the audience was requird to wear a mask. Even Bruce wore one himself as he took the stage. Before "My Hometown", he thanked the audience for remaining masked up. In a reference to recent coverage of the "waves/sways" controversy, Bruce sings "Thunder Road" like this: "The screen door slams, Mary's dress sways" then he stopped and said "sways" again. Everyone laughed and then he picked it back up. Bruce also remained socially distanced from the front row rather than shaking hands as he typically does at the end of the show. Among the audience were Sam and possibly also Jessica Springsteen.
