Bruce Springsteen performs and presents at the fourth annual American Music Honors, a presentation of the Bruce Springsteen Archives & Center For American Music at Monmouth University. The 2026 honorees are Dionne Warwick (inducted by Springsteen), The Doors (inducted by Steven Van Zandt), The Band (posthumously inducted by Max Weinberg, with Amy Helm accepting the award), Dr. Dre (inducted by Jimmy Iovine), The E Street Band (inducted by Jon Landau), and Patti Smith (inducted by Springsteen). Bruce accepts the award for the E Street Band induction on behalf of Patti Scialfa, while Jake Clemons accepts on behalf of Clarence Clemons and Jason Federici accepts on behalf of Danny Federici. The Disciples Of Soul serve as the evening's house band, and Brian Williams emcees; Steve Earle, Public Enemy, Darlene Love, and Mickey Raphael also make surprise appearances.

"Standing in for my lovely wife tonight, she wants you all to know that she's doing well.
From the moment she took the stage in 1984, she broke the boys club. Patti became part of our sound and she gave it deeper meaning. Her voice brought a new dimension, a tenderness and grace. It gave our band's vocals new emotional colours. She had a nuance, she made the music fuller, richer and more human."
