This was one of the so-called "electric Nebraska" sessions, although it is not known to what extent the E Street Band contributed to "Johnny 99" as attempted on this date. The Electric Nebraska version of "Downbound Train" and the base track for the album version of "Born In The U.S.A." were recorded on this date; the released version of "Murder Incorporated" may also derive from this session.
