In the Boston Phoenix, Bruce is advertised to perform on Monday and Tuesday at Passim Coffeeshop. The ad first appeared in the newspaper's issue of December 18, and later in their issues of December 25 and January 1. However, it is unclear for which dates these adverts were actually supposed to be, especially since the same ad also mentions the venue's closing between December 23 and January 2. It is unclear, and perhaps unlikely, that the performances ever did take place: according the club's previous homepage, Bruce Springsteen was denied a gig by Bob Donlin.
