A scheduled guest appearance at Clive Davis's 'We Love NYC: The Homecoming Concert', a music festival meant to celebrate New York City's revival after the COVID-19 lockdowns. On a BBC Radio 2 interview, Bruce confirmed that the plan was for him to perform a guest duet with Patti Smith on "Because The Night". However, lightning storms during the concert caused the event to be cancelled midway, before many of the performers (including Springsteen and Smith) had taken the stage.
