I was sitting in the section next to Bruce and saw him arrive. Loved watching the surprise and joy in people's faces sitting in that section and around the venue. When I took my seat there were 2 reserved seats next to me and for a moment I thought "Could this be real?", but then I saw the reserved seats with no names on them in the next section and thought "Oh, that's where he's going to be" and it was. I was ready for his entrance, but still thrilled when he entered. I was facing straight to the screen and Bruce was on the side a bit, so I had a clear view of him, Stevie, Jon, Pam and group. Very cool! Once the movie started though, I was enraptured. Sure, I knew a lot of this stuff and had seen some of the interviews already, but Thom Zimny did a wonderful job of putting it all together. It flowed very well from the beginning of Bruce's career and performances to present day. The story telling surrounding the songs in the set list was great. Everyone interviewed, especially the E Street Band members, were honest and open with their comments. I was choked up during the segment about Clarence and Danny. Shocked and saddened when Patti talked about her multiple myeloma cancer diagnosis. You could hear gasps throughout the hall. I wanted to look over to see Bruce's reaction, but controlled myself. It felt like watching a concert at some points. I sang and clapped. I may have even raised my fist a few times! LOL I'm glad that I was able to watch it on the big screen. The Q&A after was okay. Again, nothing really surprising and Bruce only spoke for a short bit, but what he said had great impact, was emotional and connected with me and I'm sure everyone else regarding friendship and aging. It's a shame that many people won't see the movie without spoilers, especially Patti's diagnosis, as some parts are quite moving and you lose a bit when you know what is about to happen.
