ONLY LOVERS LEFT ALIVE - V2 05:54 GUEST: BABYLON

Note: Written by Joe Grushecky sometime in late 1993 or 1994, "Only Lovers Left Alive" was first recorded by Grushecky and Springsteen, who also provided the majority of musical accompaniment for the recording, at Thrill Hill East, Rumson, NJ, on July 12, 1994. V1 features an extensive guitar workout from Bruce. Grushecky decided to record a finished version with The Houserockers (V2), which occurred during the March 1995 sessions at Thrill Hill West, Beverly Hills. Bruce is credited on the album with guitar and backing vocals on this version, although Grushecky has indicated in interviews that Bruce sat out the track. In any case, Springsteen produced the track, which was released on Grushecky's album American Babylon in October 1995.
