Bruce and the band enter the studio, apparently in response to CBS's request for a new single, and lay down the base track for "Born To Run". The song had already been rehearsed in studio, although the details of this are not known. Clinton Heylin suggests that the basic track for "A Night Like This", the song that would become "A Love So Fine" and then "So Young And In Love", was also recorded around this time.
