Further studio sessions for the third album including Bruce and the band putting finishing touches on "Born To Run", potentially as well as additional work on "A Night Like This" (the song that would eventually become "A Love So Fine"/"So Young And In Love"). Although this and August 1 are the only confirmed dates, there were numerous other recording sessions during this period. The upcoming departure of David Sancious and "Boom" Carter from the band created additional urgency; still, the bulk of the time was spent on endless overdubs for "Born To Run" (including some, not ultimately used, by Suki Lahav). The song was finally completed, in time for Mike Appel to submit a rough cut to the label during this month.
