Springsteen joins John Prine and provides harmony vocals on "Take A Look At My Heart", which was released in August 1991 on the album The Missing Years. Prine won the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Folk Album. They bumped into each other at an Italian restaurant the day Prine arrived to record, and Springsteen told him, "When you guys get into the record and have something to play, please invite me over. I'd just love to play guitar or harmonica or sing or whatever." Most of the album was recorded at Howie Epstein's guest bedroom in Los Angeles, dubbed "Huh Sound Theater."
