Info & Setlist | Venue

In October 1997, Springsteen was invited to contribute a track to a Pete Seeger tribute album. He invited a group of musicians, many of whom has recently played as The Gotham Playboys at his 48th birthday party, to his home studio to record in what would become known as the first Seeger Session. The album version of "My Oklahoma Home" and the base tracks for the album versions of "Jesse James" and "We Shall Overcome" (the song chosen for the tribute project), as well as the base track for the released version of "Hobo's Lullaby", were recorded at this session.
