2002-01-00 Southern Tracks Recording, Atlanta, GA

The first formal recording sessions for The Rising were held in very late January 2002 at Southern Tracks in Atlanta. The first song was "Into The Fire", followed by "You're Missing"; after the album versions of these songs were cut, producer Brendan O'Brien send the band home for Bruce to write some more. It's not certain if those two songs were fully completed at these initial sessions or if additional overdubs were recorded later, though the strings for the latter song were almost certainly recorded separately at a later date.
