Various studio sessions for Magic were held in Atlanta from late March to early May, 2007, during which all the album's non-hidden tracks were completed or nearly completed; the members of the E Street Band and various additional musicians recorded their parts as overdubs over previously recorded base tracks. Along with the Magic material, the base track of the album version of "Harry's Place", and possibly elements used on the album versions of "Heaven's Wall" and "Mary Mary", date from these session.
