With the individual band members' contributions completed by early May, Springsteen and producer Brendan O'Brien spent the rest of May and part of June completing final touches and mixing for Magic. Around June, Bruce also wrote several new songs, including "What Love Can Do", "My Lucky Day", "This Life", "Good Eye", "Tomorrow Never Knows", and "Life Itself", and cut demos for them before the sessions were complete. The solo demo used as the base track for the album version of "Frankie Fell In Love" may also date from this period.
