Some time in 2017, Bruce's friend Jon Kilik played Bruce a video of Iraq War veteran Adam Schumann performing the military cadence "Some Say Freedom Is Free" as part of the preparation for a film inspired by Schumann's life, Thank You For Your Service. After seeing the film, Springsteen was sufficiently impressed that he asked for a copy of the recording and for Kilik and Schumann to come to Stone Hill Studio a month later to record an adaptation, "Freedom Cadence", to play over the film's credit sequence. We have placed this session here for convenience, but the exact timing is uncertain.
