Bruce & E Street Band rehearsals for the final leg of the Born In The U.S.A. Tour. This was the premises that had once been the home of Clarence's club Big Man's West (which had closed in January 1983). According to articles in The Daily Register and the Asbury Park Press, "Born In The U.S.A.", "Downbound Train", "Because The Night", and "Born To Run" were played (not necessarily in that order). A crowd of about 60 fans camped outside the building, more than the rehearsal two days before after word spread. Bruce signed autographs around lunchtime, a break at 6 o'clock, and when he left at the end of the day at 7 o'clock in his 1969 Chevy Chevelle Convertible (which was parked outside the entire day, unlocked). Other band members appeared and signed autographs at different points too. Bruce granted several favors, including giving a young fan dressed in a dirty mechanic's uniform a ride at the end of the day and letting a 13 year old boy in to hear the rehearsal for five minutes.
