Earth

Springsteen's second band were formed in August 1968 and initially consisted of Springsteen (guitars & vocals), John Graham (bass) and Michael Burke (drums). Organist Bob Alfano (previously of The Castiles) would soon be added to the line-up. It would be the foursome of Springsteen-Graham-Burke-Alfano that performed most of the gigs during the band's brief, 6 month existence. Keyboardist Frank "Flash" Craig played two concerts with Earth in December 1968, presumably filling in for Bob Alfano. The last known performance of Earth was on Valentine's Day of 1969. Just one week later saw the birth of Springsteen's third band, Child.
