Davis, Giles

Giles Davis (born Scranton, PA) is an American musician based in New Jersey. As a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist (playing sax, keyboards, guitar, wind controller, flute, clarinet, bass, drums, accordion, mandolin, vibes, melodica, and harmonica) Davis has played thousands of club dates, recording sessions, colleges, festivals, private parties, and other performances in the northeast and beyond. Giles played his first professional gig at the age of 16. After college, he went on the road as a member of Joy and Harmony Recording Artists The George Wesley Band, playing on the Reggae band's third and fourth CDs. In September 1996, Giles released his first solo CD, The Advantages of Union, on his own Green Water Records. In 1997, Giles joined The Pee Pees, a Budweiser sponsored band based in North Eastern Pennsylvania known for its high energy stage show filled with a wild sense of humor. In January of 1998, Giles joined The B-Street Band (formerly Backstreets) as a full time member. Throughout his entire career, Giles had performed as a solo artist as well. In the fall of 1999, he decided to turn his focus to solo performing full time. In August, 2001, Giles joined Brian Kirk & The Jirks. In May of 2004, Giles retired from full time performing and attended The Cardozo School of Law in New York City. He is a member of both the New York and New Jersey Bars and is the Senior Litigation Associate at Bienstock & Michael, P.C., an Entertainment and Intellectual Property Law firm, representing musicians and musical instrument and equipment companies.
