Hana King is an Australian violinist. She is a prize-winner of numerous competitions, performing live broadcast on 2MBS for their Young Performers Award in 2008, and winning the Marcus Edward Violin Scholarship in 2012. She was twice a semi-finalist of Kendall National Violin Competition and finalist of the CHAOS competition. In 2009, she was part of the Australian String Academy receiving masterclasses and lessons from Professor Berent Korfker. In 2015 and 2016 the Quartet studied with Eberhard Feltz, William Coleman, Amryllis Quartet, and Wayne Foster Smith as part of Estivo European Chamber Music Summer School where they gave performances in Verona and Mantua. After, she was selected to perform in Merz Art Gallery in Turin with a chamber ensemble led by Umberto Clerici. Hana was also invited to play in Copland’s Appalachian Spring with Verbrugghan Ensemble, an ensemble consisting of principal players of Sydney Symphony Orchestra. In 2017, she performed piano trios at the Musica Viva Festival with AYO Chamber players, consequently receiving guidance from Lambert Orkis, Elias Quartet and Jonathan Tooby. Hana has played with many orchestras including Modern Music Ensemble, Conservatorium Chamber and Symphony Orchestras, Australian Youth Orchestra, and the SBS Youth Orchestra.
