Leiber, Jerry

Jerome "Jerry" Leiber (April 25, 1933, Baltimore, MD – August 22, 2011, Los Angeles, CA) was an American lyricist who, along with composer Mike Stoller, wrote or co-wrote over 70 chart hits for Elvis Presley, The Drifters, The Coasters, Ben E. King, and countless more. They were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1985 and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987.
