Luraschi, John

John Luraschi (June 30, 1952 – August 12, 2009, Tinton Falls, NJ) was a bassist, singer, and Upstage-regular who performed as part of The Zoomettes in Dr. Zoom & The Sonic Boom. After the Upstage days, Luraschi played in a series of Asbury Park bands, including "Billy and the Kids", the Sonny Kenn Blues Band, Cahoots, Cold Blast & Steel, The George Theiss Band, The Disco Rejects, Hot Romance, Whistler and the Wheels, the Nicky Addeo Band, the Fabulous Z Band, Steel Mill Retro, and Boccigalupe & The Badboys. Luraschi's 2008 album End Of The Road features a duet with Springsteen on "Savin' Up". Luraschi passed away from lung cancer in 2009.
