Larson, Lance

Lance Larson (born March 1, 1952, Perth Amboy, NJ) is a Jersey-shore performing artist. He was a lead singer of the Lord Gunner Group, whose drummers included Boom Carter and Vini Lopez. The red baseball cap stuffed into Springsteen's back pocket on the cover of Born In The U.S.A. belonged to Larson. When his father died, Larson gave Bruce his dad's favorite red baseball cap. Springsteen decided to use it on the album cover in tribute. He told Larson that his father would always live on in music history. How right he was.
