Pendarvis, Leon

Leon "The Lion" Pendarvis (born November 16, 1945, South Carolina) is a New York music heavyweight. Besides playing in the Saturday Night Live band for over 13 years, his credits include arranging, writing and playing for such stars as Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, Patti LaBelle, Roberta Fleck, Eric Clapton, Chaka Khan, Quincy Jones, Michael Bolton, and Paul Simon. He is married to Janice Pendarvis.
