Garrett, Peter

Peter Robert Garrett AM (born April 16, 1953, Sydney, Australia) is an Australian musician, environmentalist, activist and former politician. Garrett is the lead singer of the Australian rock band Midnight Oil. He served as President of the Australian Conservation Foundation for ten years and, in 2003, was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia for his contribution to the environment and music industry.
