Mthembu, Russel

Ndoda Russel Mthembu (born March 12, 1947, Ladysmith, South Africa) is a South African singer best known for his tenure as a member of Ladysmith Black Mambazo, a South African choral group founded in 1960 by close friend Joseph Shabalala. Russel joined the group in 1975 and remained a member until his retirement from the group in the early 2010s.
