Choi, Yena

Yena Choi (born Sydney, Australia) is an Australian violinist. Casual with Tasmanian Symphony, Choi has been emerging artist with Sydney Symphony (2012, 2013, 2014) & Australian Chamber Orchestra's 'The Crowd'​ (2013). She performed at BBC Proms Royal Albert Hall (2010), Yehudi Menuhin Festival Gstaad (2013) with Australian Youth Orchestra and assumed concertmaster roles for National Music Camp (2013) & Camerata Australia (2014). Yena worked under Maestro Kurt Masur with Aurora Festival Orchestra (2015) and performed with Southbank Sinfonia under Sir Antonio Pappano, Vladimir Ashkenazy as well as alongside Academy of St Martin In The Fields, Royal Opera House & BBC Concert Orchestras (2015). In London, Yena featured as a soloist with Southbank Sinfonia & recorded for BBC3 (2015). As a chamber musician Yena has collaborated with Johannes Moser, Daniel Rowland; outside the classical realm Bruce Springsteen, Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Diana Krall, Damon Albarn, Ricky Martin, Guy Barker, Mirusia, and Dami Im.
