Slim Dunlap, 1996. Often misspelled (?) as "Girlfiend", including on the cover art for Dunlap's album Times Like This.
Note: Joel Bremer, who often played with Slim, seems absolutely sure. It's a typo on Twin/Tone's page. It says Girlfiend on all the four releases it has had, Times Like This, Songs For Slim, the double LP set and Thank You, Dancers! When he played it live, he stressed the fiend part, as you can hear on Thank you, Dancers! If you listen to Slim's spoken introduction at the link you'll hear him stressing the word clearly…
